با شروع نسل نهم انتظارات همه بسیار بالا بود و دوست داشتند که عنوان های انحصاری سونی را زودتر تجربه کنند که این مساله محقق نشد. در سال 2021 طرفداران سونی انتظار عرضه بازی های مختلفی را داشتند اما در سال میلادی قبل شاهد عنوان های انحصاری زیادی نبودیم، اما همین هم تبدیل به نقطه قوت شد چون سال 2022 تعداد زیادی بازی خوب در راه خواهد بود.
